Bernhard BERCHTOLD, tenor (Austria)

Born in 1967 in Austria. Vocal studies at the Innsbruck Conservatory with Viktoria Prestel, since 1995 Vocal Studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts "Mozarteum" Salzburg with Horiana Branisteanu as well as Lied with Mitsuko Shirai and Hartmut Höll. In 1998, guest of the August Everding Academy at the Munich Prinzregententheater and the Winter Olympus Festival in Munich. 1999 prizewinner of the Salzburg International Summer Academy as part of the Salzburg Festival. Lieder recitals and oratorio concerts in Austria and Germany. Extensive repertoire from Bach, Handel, Haydn over Mendelssohn, Puccini, Orff to the present.

Irina PURYSHINSKAJA, Piano (Russia)

Born in 1966 in Moscow. Piano lessons since the age of five. 1986-1991 "Tchaikovsky" Conservatory in Moscow with G. Axelrod, 1991 Diploma in Chamber Music, Song Design and Music Education with distinction, Diploma subject with honors. 1992-1995 Cologne University of Music with Karin Merle, exam with honors, since 1995 Musikhochschule Karlsruhe Studied Lied interpretation with Hartmut Höll, 1997 graduated with honors, 1999 concert exam piano at the Hochschule für Musik Köln. Masterclasses u. a. with Rald Gothóni, Hartmut Höll and Natalia Gutmann. 1996 special prize for the best song pianist at the XII. International "Robert Schumann" competition Zwickau and 2nd prize at the Concorso Pianistico Internazionale Città di Senigallia. Numerous solo and chamber music concerts as well as recitals, u. a. with Ana Chumachenko, Eduard Brunner, Lothar Odinius in Germany, Belgium, Austria and Italy. Tours of the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and South America.
