The Anima String Quartet was founded in 2005 at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg. Since 2005 studies with Josef Levinzon, cellist of the Taneyev Quartet. Additional lessons with members of the Alban Berg Quartet, the Vogler Quartet, the Borodin Quartets, Eberhard Feltz (Academy of Music "Hanns Eisler" Berlin) and Stefan Metz (Dutch String Quartet Academy NSKA). Participation in festivals and master classes, i.a. at the Orlando Festival in the Netherlands, at the Schubertiade in Austria, Northern Flowers in Russia and at the International Summer Academy for Chamber Music in Lower Saxony, Germany. Concerts in Russia, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands and France. 3rd Prize at the International Competition for Chamber Music and String Quartet in Moscow 2007. 2nd Prize at the International Shostakovich Competition in Moscow 2008. April 2009 1st Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition Charles Hennen in the Netherlands.
Evgeniya Norkina, violin (Russia)
Born in 1986. Since 1997 student at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory St. Petersburg. "New Names" scholarship from the Musical Charitable Fund and scholarship from the International Music Foundation "Palaces of Saint-Petersburg". Participation in the International Festival Evgeny Mravinsky, Estonia. Solo concerts with the Symphony Orchestra in St. Petersburg and other Russian cities. 2004 Winner of the All-Russia competition "New Names". 2005 graduation with honors. Since then further lessons with Alexander Stang at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory St. Petersburg.
Maria Dubovik, Viola (Russia)
Born in 1986 in St. Petersburg. 1994-2005 studied with the colleague of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory St. Petersburg with Lev Ivashenko and Larisa Baranova, since 2005 studies at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory with Antonina Kazarina. Participation in various chamber music and orchestra projects and concerts in Russia, Germany and Austria.
Ksenia Evtushenko, violin (Russia)
Born in 1986 in St. Petersburg. 1994-2005 studies at "Rimskij-Korsakow" St. Petersburg Conservatory with Prof. Ivashenko and Prof. Baranova, since 2005 studies with Antonina Kazarina. Participation in various chamber music and orchestral projects and concerts in Russia, Germany, Austria.
Vladimir Reshetko, Violoncello (Russia)
Born in 1987. From 1993 studies with the colleague of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory St. Petersburg with Elena Dernova. 1999 winner of the International Competition in the Czech Republic. Since 2005 studies at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory St. Petersburg with Anatolii Nikitin. Participation in concerts abroad and in St. Petersburg as a soloist in ensembles and orchestras.
