The Quintet Quartet (Russia) was founded in 1994. Its artistic path was supervised by Josef Levinson. The quartet has already been awarded several prizes in international competitions, including a 2nd Prize at the CHAIN Chamber Music Competition (Enschede, Holland), 3rd Prize and Special Prize at the "Shostakovich Competition for String Quartets" (St. Petersburg, Russia) and 3rd Prize at the "Joseph Joachim" Chamber Music Competition (Weimar, Germany), The young musicians deal intensively with Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Shostakovich and Prokofiev, but also with the modern St. Petersburg composers Falik, Belov, Matwejev and Lozmanov.
Born in 1972 in Leningrad. Currently studying at the St. Petersburg Conservatory "Rimsky-Korsakov" with Andrei Dogadin. Concert performances in St. Petersburg and abroad, i.a. with the Ensemble Graz-St. Petersburg. Broadcasting with the music of contemporary St. Petersburg composers.
Born in 1973 in Leningrad. Currently studying at the St. Petersburg Conservatory "Rimsky-Korsakov" with Alexei Massarsky. As a member of the St. Petersburg cello ensemble, he participated in festivals in Davos (Switzerland) and Beauvais (France). CD recordings with this ensemble. Winner of international chamber music competitions.
Born in 1973 in Leningrad. Currently studying under Alla Aranowskaya at the St. Petersburg Conservatory "Rimskij-Korsakov". Participation in the Youth Violin Ensemble Leningrad. Masterclasses i.a. with Thomas Zehetmair in St. Petersburg. 1996: Performance with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic.
Born in 1973 in Leningrad. She is currently studying with Vladimir Ovcharek at the St. Petersburg Conservatory "Rimsky-Korsakov". Performances in St. Petersburg and abroad. Since 1994 participation in international competitions and summer academies as a member of the Quinten Quartet.
