Annett Baumeister - Extended Jury 2022 & Project Prize Jury "NEW FORMATS"

Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Annett Baumeister has been a member of the managing board of the Heidelberger Frühling since 2020. She is head of art and innovation and responsible for the festivals Heidelberger Frühling, Streichquartettfest and Neuland Lied as well as the Chamber Music Plus Series. She also is head of the division of the International Lied Center, the Music Conference and the competition Das Lied.

After commercial and musical training and the completion of the first degree course in Germany for “Municipal Cultural Management” and “Public Cultural Activities – Public Financing of the Arts, Theatre Management and Broadcasting” in Ludwigsburg, she had been working as the assistant to the board of directors at the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra for six years. There, she was responsible for project management and finances as well as for the acquisition and management of the FBO Consort and the Apponyi Quartet. This was followed by two years as manager of the German Chamber Philharmonic Bremen. For ten years she had been a manager in the Office for International Cultural Projects, in the management of Thomas Hengelbrock and Balthasar Neumann choir and ensemble, was significantly involved in the founding and five-year planning and implementation of the Feldkirch Festival and, in addition to the general acquisition, she also took over the project management of the opera productions and tours worldwide and pushed ahead with the development of her own sheet music edition of "rediscovered" works.

From 2009 to 2019 she was head of concerts officer and in the last season she was the head officer for opera, ballet and concerts at the Festspielhaus and Festspiele Baden-Baden and was entrusted with the overall planning of the four festivals and the season’s programme. She was and is asked to be a jury member in various competitions and until 2019 had a seat in the committee of the artistic planner of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO).
