Born in Stuttgart, Germany. Head of concert planning at the Festspielhaus und Festspiele Baden-Baden since 2009, overseeing all aspects of programming and productions of the four festivals as well as the overall season concert planning. She has widened the chamber concerts performances into the city and region and is a member of the panel of the artistic planners of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO).
Annett has studied ‚Regional Arts Management‘ and ‚Public Cultural Advancement – Public funding, Theatre Management and Public Broadcasting’ in Ludwigsburg, the very first course of studies of its kind in Germany at the time. She started her career as the assistant of the general manager at Freiburger Barockorchester, where she stayed on for over six years. Besides project- and tour management and the financial aspects of it, she was also managing the Apponyi-Quartett and FBO Consort. This was followed by two years as the manager of Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, where she was responsible for the concert acquisition, but also managing the festivals and project managing the chamber music series. She was also a member of various regional panels for contemporary music as well as educational programs for children and families in town.
At the same time she worked for the Trio Vivente as a freelance manager. In 1999 she became a manager in the Büro für Internationale Kulturprojekte, the management office for conductor Thomas Hengelbrock, Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble; a position that she has held for 10 years. She played a crucial role in planning and founding the Feldkirch Festival together with Thomas Hengelbrock, working as the head of planning on many opera and concert productions in Europe and beyond. She also initiated the ‘Edition Balthasar Neumann’ with rediscovered works.
