Mary Dullea was born in Cork, Ireland and studied at the Royal College of Music, London on the Edith Best Scholarship. She performs internationally with her piano trio, The Fidelio Trio and as soloist. Festival appearances include City of London, Cheltenham, St. Magnus International Festival, Brighton, Huddersfield, Aldeburgh as well as Belfast Festival at Queens, West Cork Music, Reggello International Festival, Lodi Festival and Palazzo Albrizzi, Venice (Italy), Casa da Musica (Porto), TRANSIT Festival (Leuven), Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre, London’s Wigmore Hall, Symphony Space, New York City and National Arts Festival (South Africa). Alongside her recording of Rob Keeley’s Piano Concerto with the British ensemble Lontano for Lorelt Mary has also recorded CDs for NMC, Delphian Records, Col Legno, Naxos, Divine Art, Convivium and MNR her most recent releases in 2014 include Korngold’s Piano Trio and Schoenberg’s Verklarte Nacht (arr. Steuermann) on Naxos and the complete music for violin and piano by Michael Finnissy (with Darragh Morgan, violin) on Divine Art.
Since 2008, Mary has curated Soundings, an annual new music cultural exchange between Austrian and UK composers and musicians at the Austrian Cultural Forum, London. She is Director of Performance at the University of Sheffield and teaches piano and chamber music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
