*Prizewinning work of the 1st Competition for Composition LIED 2017 in regards to the 10th FS&MM, more than 50 poems by German-language poetess Selma Merbaum (1924-1942) formed the basis for the competition. „Den gelben Astern ein Lied“ (2017) („A Song for the Yellow Asters“) was programmed as a compulsory piece for the first round of the 2018 FS&MM. 54 participating Lied duos in total (premier) performed Kim’s composition.

German translation by Hanns Grössel) exclusively for the final round of the Lied. The Duo Burgos & Gerzenberg won the Special Prize/Best Interpretation
for their performance of this composition.
