Another competition? Who cares? One could debate this forever but the FS&MM competition has much to offer which is today much in vogue. We have experienced in the last few years a veritable Renaissance of chamber music: young, talented piano trios are emerging everywhere, all searching for their path onto the concert stage.

As one of the few piano trio competitions worldwide and with repertory requirements providing great freedom of choice, we are an ideal presentation medium for young artists. In comparison with solo competitions, I personally find that at a chamber music competition the atmosphere and tension are different: a group presents itself here and the interaction and subtle mechanisms which come to light are enormously fascinating.

I invite you to join us and experience the unique atmosphere here in Graz!
