TRIO SHAYKIN / KRAVTSOV / ZEMLERUB
The piano trio was founded by Alexander Shaykin (piano), Abdula Saidov (violin) and Fedor Zemlerub (violoncello) in 2008 in the class of Alexander Bonduryansky at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory. Since 2011 the violinist Kirill Kravtsov is part of the trio. From the very beginning the trio has been held in great esteem not only in professional musical circles but also by friends of music. One year after the establishment of the trio the ensemble obtained the “Young Award” prize at the renowned “Trio di Trieste Chamber Music Competition“ (Italy, May 2009). The trio took part in the 5th Moscow Conservatory Music Festival in August 2011. In November 2011 1st prize winner at the 4th “Sergei Taneyev International Chamber Ensemble Competition“ (Kaluga) and the 1st prize winner at the “National Music Competition“. Among others, they played in all halls of the Moscow Conservatory, the philharmonic halls in Kaluga, Orel, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Cheboksary and Troitsk. The comprehensive repertoire of the trio includes works of different periods and styles from Haydn to Schnittke.
Alexander SHAYKIN, Piano (Russia)
Born in 1987 in Cheboksary, Russia. First piano lessons in 1993 in Tcheboksary. From 2002 till 2005 studies with Anna Arzamanova at the Moscow Gnessin School (Russia). From 2005 studies with Vaja Tchachava (piano accompaniment) and with Eliso Virsaladze (piano). Moreover studies with Alexander Bonduryansky (chamber music) and Vaja Tchachava. Studies at the Moscow State Conservatory, Graduate Diploma in 2010. Post-graduate student since 2010.
In 2004, master classes with Nikolay Petrov and Naum Shtarkman, in 2005 with Janiva Aubakirova. 1st prize winner of the “1st International Gubaidulina Piano Competition“ (Russia, 2006), 1st prize winner of the “4th International Piano Competition“ Almaty (Kazakhstan, 2008) and 2nd prize winner of the “Frechilla-Zuloaga International Piano Competition“ (Spain, 2009).
Kirill KRAVTSOV, Violin (Russia)
Born in 1987 in Vilnius. First lessons in 1994 with Igor Svichkarenko at Kharkov Special Music School. From 1997 to 2001 with Vadim Kholodenko and from 2001 to 2006 with Marina Kesselman, and from 2006 to 2011 with Maja Glezarova. Studies at the Moscow State Conservatory. Master classes in 2010 with Pavel Vernikov and with Massimo Quarta, in 2011 with Midori Goto.
Fedor ZEMLERUB, Violoncello (Russia)
Born in 1989 in Moscow. Since 2007 lessons with Natalia Shakhovskaya (violoncello) at the Moscow State Conservatory, between 2002 and 2007 with Ludmila Kruzhkova (violoncello) at Moscow Gnesin School, since 2007 with Alexander Bonduryansky (chamber music) and Andrey Shishlov (quartet). Since 2007 studies at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (Diploma: The fifth course of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory).
In 2009, master classes with Philipp Muller and in 2010 with Luis Claret. 2nd prize winner of the “Kozolupov National Cello Competition“, 3rd prize winner of the “National Musical Competition“, and in 2009 of the International Chamber Music Competition “Trio Di Trieste – Young Award”. In 2007, performances at the “International Festival of Romantic Music in Moscow” and in 2011 at the Music Festival “Creative Young Musicians of Moscow Conservatory”.
