QUINTEN QUARTETT (Russia)
The Quinten-Quartet was founded in 1994. Its artistic career was fostered by Josef Levinson. Several prizes at international competitions were awarded to the Quartet, including the 2nd prize at the “CHAIN-Chamber Music Competition” (Enschede, The Netherlands), the 3rd Prize and Special Prize at the “Schostakowitsch Competition for String Quartets” (St. Petersburg, Russia) and the 3rd Prize at the “Joseph-Joachim”-Chamber Music Competition (Weimar, Germany). The young musicians have specialized on Russian music (Tschaikowsky, Borodin, Schostakowitsch and Prokofjew), but have also played contemporary composers of St. Petersburg such as Falik, Belov, Matwejev and Lozmanov.
Born in Leningrad in 1973. Currently she studies with Wladimir Ovtscharek at the St. Petersburg Conservatory “Rimskij Korsakov”. Appearances in St. Petersburg and abroad. Since 1994 participation in international competitions and summer academies as member of the Quinten-Quartet.
Born in Leningrad in 1973. At present student of Alla Aranowskaja at the St. Petersburg Conservatory “Rimskij Korsakov”. Appearances with the Youth Violin Ensemble Leningrad. Master classes e. g. with Thomas Zehetmair in St. Petersburg. In 1996 appearance with the Academic Symphonic Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society.
Born in Leningrad in 1972. At present he studies at the St. Petersburg Conservatory “Rimskij Korsakov” with Andrei Dogadin. Concerts in St. Petersburg and abroad, among others with the Ensemble Graz-St. Petersburg. Radio broadcast recordings with music of contemporary composers of St. Petersburg.

As member of the St. Petersburg Cello Ensemble participation in the Festivals of Davos (Switzerland) and Beauvais (France). Several CD-recordings with this Ensemble. Prize-winner of international chamber music competitions.
