Peter SCHÖNE, Baritone (Germany)
The lyric baritone Peter Schöne was born in 1976 in Berlin and started his musical training with the violin at the age of five. Since 1999 he has been a student in the singers’ class of Harald Stamm at the University of Arts in Berlin. He is a master student with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Rene Jacobs and Peter Berne and a fellow in the lieder classes of Jonathan Alder, Sayali Dadas und Axel Bauni (lieder of the 20th century). Peter Schöne has already been on stage in performances with the Bamberger Symphoniker and Nürnberger Symphoniker. He took part in various university opera productions (inter alia as Guglielmo in Mozart’s “Così fan tutte”) and gave his first lieder recital in 2002. In autumn 2002 he came to Berlin, having obtained his first engagement there with the Komische Oper Berlin where he sang the leading part in the contemporary opera “Greek” by Mark-Anthony Turnage.
Norie TAKAHASHI, Piano (Japan)
Norie Takahashi was born in 1978 in Sendai, Japan, and had her first piano lessons in 1983. Five years later she became a pupil of Nobuyosi Kato who remained her instructor also at the Toho Gakuen Music High School in Tokyo from 1993 to 1996 (further training in classes with György Sebök, Michael Voskresenski and Halina Czerny-Stefanska). Subsequently Takahashi was a student of Nobuyosi Kato and Michael Voskresenski at the Toho Gakuen University of Music in Tokyo until she took her diploma in 2000. Master classes with Takahiro Sonoda, Hüseyin Sermet, Karl Engel and Vitary Margulis and lessons with Klaus Hellwig at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin completed her training.
As a soloist Norie Takahashi has already given numerous concerts in her own country and abroad. Since 1994 she has frequently received awards at various competitions, e.g. at the 64th Japanese Music Competition for Piano 1995, at the 10th International Beethoven Piano Competition 1997 in Vienna, at the Queen Elizabeth Music Competition 1999 in Brussels and at the Arthur Schnabel Piano Competition in Berlin. As an accompanist Norie Takahashi has attended inter alia a duo master class (violin and piano) with Toru Yasunaga (leader of the Berliner Philharmoniker) and chamber music classes with Kazuoki Fujii. Together with Peter Schöne she gave a concert and a lieder recital in Berlin in 2002.
