In 2009, Nora Lentner and Klara Hornig embarked upon a close cooperation. Their widely varied repertoire includes not only classical, romantic and late romantic music but also works of the 20th and 21st century that they presented in many Lied recitals.
Together they took part in several master classes, e.g. with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Thomas Quasthoff, Wolfram Rieger and Irwin Gage.
Since 2010 Klara Hornig and Nora Lentner have been studying with Burkhard Kehring in the framework of the master program “Liedgestaltung” at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg. In 2010, the duo was finalist of the “International Art Song Competition” of the Hugo-Wolf-Akademie in Stuttgart.
Nora LENTNER, Soprano (Germany)
Born in 1986 in Coburg. First piano lessons in 1999 with Carol Bischoff. Studies at the University of the Arts Berlin with Julia Kaufmann between 2005 and 2011, and with Burkard Kehring from 2010, and with Dagmar Schellenberger from 2011. Master classes with Irwin Gage (2009), Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (2009/2010) and Thomas Quasthoff (2010).
In 2011, she took her diploma in Voice/Opera at the University of the Arts Berlin. She won the first prize of the “Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin“, and the second prize of the “Paula-Salomon Lindberg Competition“ in Berlin.
In 2010, performances at Gedächtniskirche Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, duets by Robert Schumann. In 2011, “Wanderoper” Berlin/Brandenburg, Mendelssohn-Remise Berlin Liedermatinée. Lied classes with Wolfram Rieger (2009-2011) and Axel Bauni (2009-2011).
Klara HORNIG, Piano (Germany)
Born in 1985 in Dusseldorf. First lessons in 1991 in Ingolstadt. Between 2000 and 2004 studies with Thomas Menrath, between 2006 and 2010 with Konstanze Eickhorst and from 2010 studies with Burkhard Kehring. Studies at the University of Music Lübeck and at the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg. Bachelor of Music Diploma.
In 2007, master classes with Wolfram Rieger, in 2008 with Irwin Gage, in 2010 with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, in 2010 with Thomas Quasthoff and Justus Zeyen.
Performances in the framework of various Lied recitals together with Nora Lentner, for example in August 2011 at Mendelssohn-Remise Berlin, in October 2011 chamber music with members of the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, duo recital with Arthur Hornig (violoncello, Deutsche Oper Berlin) on the occasion of Bachtage Würzburg. Since 2011/2012 teaching assignment at the University of the Arts Berlin.
