Born in Russia in 1974. 1992 prizewinner of the 1st International Competition for young singers in Ekaterinburg. 1993 graduation at the Kurgan College of Music as choral conductor, graduation at the Choral Arts Academy Moscow as solo artist with Alexandrova. Since 1997 studies for lied interpretation at the Music Academy Karlsruhe with Mitsuko Shirai and Hartmut Höll. 1994 prizewinner at the “Schubert” Competition in Moscow, 1997 prizewinner at the “Bella voce” Competition in the category Voice Duo in Moscow. Concerts, oratorio and opera performances, at home and abroad, among others as solo artist with the choir of the Bach Academy Stuttgart conducted by Helmuth Rilling. CD-productions. Guest contract at the National Opera Stuttgart for Ravel’s “L’enfant et les sortilèges” for 1998/99, in summer 1999 participation in the chorus of the Bayreuth Festival.
Matthias ALTEHELD, Piano (Germany)
Born in Germany in 1971. First piano lessons at the age of ten. Several “Jugend musiziert” prizes in Germany in the category piano accompaniment. Studies in music education and instrumental pedagogy at the Music Academy Detmold, majoring in piano with Edmundo Lasheras. Since 1998 studies in lied interpretation with Mitsuko Shirai and Hartmut Höll at the Music Academy Karlsruhe. Masterclasses with Renate Kretschmar-Fischer, Charles Spencer and Hartmut Höll. 1995 2nd prize for the Best Lied Accompaniment at the “Paula Lindberg Salomon” Competition in Berlin. 1999 scholarship at the German Music Competition in Berlin in the category Piano Accompanist.
