Barbara DOLL, Violin (Germany)
Born in Germany in 1969. Several times winner of the “Jugend musiziert”-Prize. Member of the German Federal Youth Orchestra. Since 1988 student of Thomas Zehetmair and Thomas Brandis at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin, student of David Takeno at the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Master classes, among others, with Sandor Végh, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Ernst Kovacic, furthermore lessons with György Kurtág, György Sebök, the Tákács-Quartet and the Borodin Quartet. Concerts throughout Europe, North- and Middle America, North Africa, The Near East and China. Numerous radio appearances.
Julian MILFORD, Piano (Great Britain)
Born in London in 1970. Graduation from Oxford in 1991. Then he studied piano and piano-accompaniment with Joan Havill at the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Specialized in chamber music and duo repertoire. Performances, as for instance, at the Wigmore Hall and the Purcell Room. International concert tours throughout Europe, the USA, South-America and Africa. He has regularly played on BBC Radio 3. CD-recordings with the Russian violinist Lydia Mordkovitch.
