The duo was founded in 2006 and won a scholarship at the “Deutscher Musikwettbewerb“ in 2007. They were selected for the “Young Artists’ Concerts“ series at the national level and perform regularly all across Germany.
Andrea KIM, Violin (Germany)
Born in Dinslaken, Germany, in 1978. First violin lessons in 1981 at the music school in Wesel. Further studies with Michael Gaiser (1994-1998), Thomas Brandis (1998-2003) and Gerhard Schulz (2003-2004). Master classes with Shmuel Ashkenazy, Igor Ozim, Antje Weithaas, Daniel Gaede, Max Speermann, Ilan Gronich. Until 1998 studies at the University of Music Düsseldorf (Robert-Schumann-Hochschule), 1998-2002 at the Berlin University of the Arts, 2002-2005 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as well as the University of Music Lübeck. Diploma in 2002 and Professional Performance Degree in 2005. In 2006 debut as a soloist at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival; young talents grant of Villa Musica, Rheinland-Pfalz; duo appearances in young artists’ concert series at various festivals. Concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lübeck, concertmaster of the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, currently assistant concertmaster of the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra.
Florian von RADOWITZ, Piano (Germany)
Born in Sindelfingen, Germany, in 1978. First piano lessons in 1984 with Nora Huzly. Further studies with Michael Hauber (1994-2000) and Klaus Hellwig (2000-2006). Master classes with Ilan Gronich, Thomas Quasthoff, Elza Kolodin, Menahem Pressler. Studies at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts and the Berlin University of the Arts. Diploma as a music teacher and Professional Performance Degree. Several 1st prizes in the competition “Jugend musiziert“ at the national level, 2nd prize in the competition Giovanni Concertisti, Rome. Scholarship presented by the “Deutscher Musikwettbewerb“ in 2007. He did several recording for prominent radio stations in Germany, Europe and North America and had CDs released with Ars Musici in 2005 and Classic Concerts Records in 2007. Invitations to play with the Berlin Philharmonie, the Konzerthaus and the Ludwigsburger Festspiele, he is further a regular guest at festivals in Germany and Europe. Lately he was invited for concert tours in Canada and South America. Chamber music partner of prizewinners of the ARD Competition and the German National Competition, he is also an accompanist for masterclasses and orchestra auditions.
