Born in Mönchengladbach, Germany, in 1976. First piano lessons in 1981. 1983-1992 violin lessons. 1990-1992 member of the Märkisches Jugendsinfonieorchester, in 1992 3rd prize in the competition “Jugend komponiert“. 1996-2001 studies in musicology, computer sciences and philosophy at the University of Bonn, in 2001 diplomas in computer sciences and musicology. 1997-1998 tutor in harmony and counterpoint at the Institute of Musicology at the University of Bonn. 1998-1999 software developer with BEC. In 2005 1st prize in the Composition Competition of German Music Conservatoires. 2000-2002 research assistant at the Institute of Computer Sciences in the Department of Audio Signal Processing (University of Bonn). 2001-2005 studies at the University of Music Cologne: composition with York Höller, piano with Klaus Oldemeyer and harmony and counterpoint with Friedrich Jaecker. Diploma in composition in 2005. 2003-2004 research and software development at the FGAN (radar systems and target tracking of expanded objects). Since October 2005 research associate at the Institute for Speech Pattern Recognition at the University of Saarland (Dietrich Klakow); area of research: reproducing Kernel Hilbert spaces in the field of speech pattern recognition. Since November 2005 composition studies with Theo Brandmüller at the University of Music Saarland. Since 2002 cooperation as composer and programmer with dancers, especially with “Angels Koeln“, an aerial dance group.
